I am everything I have ever seen, heard, touched, saw, licked and kicked. I am everyone I have ever known, talked to, shared an experience with, and shared an awkward silence with. The sum total of twenty something years of life experience and six years of college education. I bring with me a vast amount of knowledge and experiences; some completely trivial and unimaginably mundane but perfectly unique. I’ve been told what advertising is by people in the business and by the people who hate the industry and everyone in between; advertising is lies, truths, stories, ideas, experiences, feelings, emotions, designs, paths, directions, answers, questions, fascinations. Advertising is everything anyone has ever said about it, read about it, talked about it, and everything anyone thought about it. Art Direction is the molding, the growing and the cultivating of these things, it is the art of becoming who you want to speak with but retaining yourself, and ultimately informing both. Art Direction is creating completely new ideas (yes there are still some out there — don’t be fooled) from seemingly unrelated and irrelevant bits. I am Keyan Kenney. I am an Art Director.
